Yesterday, Sports Festival started in our University. This is the 25th festival and there were students not only from turkish universities but also from different countries such as USA, Lebanon, Romania, France, Bulgaria, UAE, Germany and etc. The opening ceremony was nice and there was a show of our universiy's steps group - Bogazici Angels and children folk dance group of Istanbul's Municipality. These children were really good and add another dimension to this ceremony. Foreign sportsmen loved them very much.
I want to touch to one point here, every year starting from 2000, I participate in Sports Festival and I think this was the worst one I have ever seen. Organization and organizers were not good.
I wish, it will be better next year...

Today, was not an ordinary day. After having lunch, I decided to walk on the shore of Bosphorus. It was a hot day (approximately 30 C) but wonderful day.

 

Today, there was a seminar about "Instructional Design and Transfer of Training" and the speaker was Barbara Bichelmeyer who is the Associate Professor at Indiana University Bloomington. She had nice points about designing a good instruction and trasnfering of knowledge. She also presented the performance equation.
